Calling all Peer Specialists and those dedicated to the cause of peer support – there’s still time to register for the International Association of Peer Supporters (INAPS) 12th Annual Conference, Reinforcing Our Roots: Designing Our Future. This exciting conference takes place December 3-5, 2018 in Orlando, Florida. Besides informative and skill-building workshops and caucuses, you’ll hear three inspiring keynote speakers:
- Keris Jän Myrick, Discipline Chief for Peer Services for the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health and previously the Director of the Office of Consumer Affairs for the Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS) at SAMHSA
- Azza Altiraifi (she/hers), an award-winning disabled Afro-Arab organizer whose advocacy centers on principles of radical inclusion and access, racial and disability justice, and building an intersectional movement towards collective liberation
- Mark Salzer, PhD, Professor at Temple University and Principal Investigator and Director of the University’s Collaborative on Community Inclusion of Individuals with Psychiatric Disabilities
